Rare color film footage of the construction of the
Japanese-American relocation camp in Poston, Arizona - largest
of all the WWII camps with 17,814 internees. Built by Del
Webb and a crew of 5,000 in less than 120 days. Documents
construction from the first aerial surveys to the first arrivals
from detention centers in New Mexico and California. Includes
some footage of camp life. Found in the Wade Head Collection
(FM MS 118). Wade Head was the Poston administrator. Clear,
crisp images but no sound track. Runs 25 minutes.
