2005
Barry M. Goldwater Lecture Series
"Perspectives
on Growth and Development in Arizona"
The
Arizona Historical Foundation has a long and rich tradition of sponsoring
guest speakers representing a wide range of topics and points of
view. In keeping with that tradition, we are pleased to announce
the program for the 2005 Barry M. Goldwater Lecture Series. Our
thanks to Dr. Gary Driggs who provided the conceptual framework
and arranged an outstanding list of speakers.
Our theme
this year reflects the New West. Growth and development are contemporary
issues defined by politics, economics, and pioneering entrepreneurs.
Our speakers are the very history makers who have shaped the growth
and development in a state known for its boom and bust cycles.
